Workplace comfort.

The cabs of the Actros are home to countless examples of how ergonomics, comfort and design combine to instil that all-important extra factor for long-distance transport operations: the motivation to do a good job – and enjoy it in the process.

WORKING COMFORT.

Illuminated control panel.

The integrated white LEDs make the control panel for Telligent® level control even easier to read and operate to optimum effect, even in the dark.

Dashboard consoles.

Unbeatable stowage space and compartments.

The dashboard console in the MegaSpace cab. Simply unbeatable – the cab floor is completely level, providing space on the lower dashboard console for four additional large stowage trays. To make it easier to reach the optional upper bed and stowage compartments, a fold-out step has been incorporated.

The dashboard consoles in the L cab. Orderly, functional, harmonious – an impression due not least to the use of high-quality materials and subtly coordinated colours. But it's also extremely practical for work, thanks to the numerous stowage trays and compartments.

The dashboard console in the S and M cabs. You do not have to forego ergonomics and practicality on short and medium-haul routes either. Both cabs are equipped with a host of stowage compartments in the doors, roof and rear wall.

Digital tachograph.

Keeping tabs on all the important data – the digital tachograph.

The digital tachograph records all relevant data such as driving and rest times, speed and engine speed. These are held on the memory chip in the driver's card and on the device's mass storage unit, from where they can be easily read out electronically.

Battery status indicator.

The battery status indicator and graphics-capable instrument cluster.

The battery status indicator included as standard improves reliability and enhances comfort and convenience. It provides the driver with information on the battery's charge status and startability, thereby helping to avoid unforeseen downtimes.

The driver is able to view the most important data at a glance on the virtually glare-free, graphics-capable instrument cluster. One particular time-saving feature is the integral function check which checks the main function units. The battery charge status can also be called up quickly and easily from here. The excellent combination of lettering, colours and dials on the instrument cluster's analogue and digital displays ensure optimum legibility.

One-touch indicator function.

One-touch indicator function for even greater convenience behind the wheel.

The standard-specification one-touch indicator function enhances driving comfort in the Actros even more: simply touch the combination switch once, and the indicators on the Actros flash five times.

Seats.

All seats in the Actros are equipped as standard with hard-wearing, easy-care velour in the "Brasao" design. Flat-weave fabric covers in "Brasao" design are available as an alternative. The comfort suspension seat is also optionally available with part-leather upholstery for both driver and co-driver.

Comfort suspension seat.

The seat's ergonomic shape promotes safe and relaxed driving, whilst the many different settings and comfort-enhancing features provide the best possible working conditions. The comfort suspension seat is optionally available for driver and co-driver in leather with pneumatic lumbar support, lateral contour support and seat heating.

Climatised suspension seat.

Maximum comfort on request for driver and co-driver: the climatised suspension seat with multi-stage ventilation. Seat climate control creates a pleasant flow of air and also features selectable seat heating to enhance comfort on long journeys and reduce perspiration. The fans are arranged so that no unpleasant draughts occur in operation. The climatised suspension seat also features a horizontal spring which effectively cushions horizontal vibrations. Additional comfort-enhancing features include: the height-adjustable belt, removable head cushion and padded armrests. After all, the working day is tough enough.

Multifunction steering wheel.

Everything within reach – the multifunction steering wheel.

The multifunction steering wheel makes many tasks easier and more convenient – be it taking a phone call, adjusting the volume of the radio or checking the oil level with the driver information system. The steering wheel is optionally available in high-grade leather. This version feels even better to hold and offers superb quality. The pneumatic steering wheel lock allows the steering wheel to be steplessly adjusted by up to 66 cm for height and from 10° to 42° for rake. The result is optimum driving comfort and easier entry, exit and cross-cab access.

Interior lights.

Optimum lighting conditions – the interior lighting.

The interior lighting: two dimmable lights in the roof liner illuminate the interior as required. Separately selectable work area lighting and eye-friendly green night lighting for relaxed driving in the dark are also incorporated. Dimmable blue ambient lighting is available as an option for the L and MegaSpace cabs.

Radios and telephony.

Leaving nothing wanting – the radios.

The optional radios with integrated Bluetooth hands-free system leave no wishes unanswered: in addition to a radio and CD player compatible with all common music formats, these units features interfaces for connecting MP3 players, CD changers and TVs. The integral hands-free system uses Bluetooth wireless technology to access the content of the SIM card of your compatible Bluetooth mobile phone – no cable connections are required. The steering wheel buttons provide direct access to all content. A holder with integrated charging function and antenna connection is fitted for mobile phones.

Door control panel.

Everything to hand – the door control panel.

The illuminated switches for central locking, window controls, mirror adjustment and mirror heating are arranged with ease of use in mind. The ball-type air vent prevents the side windows from misting or freezing over, and provides a flow of cool air for the driver in the summer months.

Truck navigation.

Dynamic route guidance designed for trucks – the truck navigation system from Mercedes-Benz.

Covering most countries in Europe, the optionally available truck navigation system from Mercedes-Benz will get you to your destination even more quickly. The dynamic route guidance function with DVD navigation and integrated TMC function is specifically tailored to the requirements of commercial vehicles, actively informs the driver and automatically suggests alternative routes if there is traffic congestion.

Sunblind.

Reducing heat penetration and glare – the sunblind.

The two angled, transparent outer sections of the sun visor round off the unmistakable face of the new Actros. The centre section in stainless steel gives the vehicle a distinctive presence and emphasises the impression of quality. In the interior, the standard-specification driver's side sunblind in the L and MegaSpace cabs reduces both heat penetration and glare on hot days – thereby enhancing safety and driving comfort in bright sunshine. A sunblind for the co-driver's side is available as an option.
